With a redux i hope grenth wins this year aswell too, extra long wintersday methink. Lol would be funny if the event was in the wintersday in july thoug lol

Lol, great explanation as to why Wintersday will go on a little longer.

I wasn't even afking in LA/Kama, but thats 8 ish hours of deathleveling wasted to a d/c caused by the new builds. Oh well.

Indeed. Which means that with a re-run of the finale, I'll get more pressies than I would have with just one run through. Which was my point - I care about the finale and the fact that it'll be re-running - as opposed to just having a NPC offer the hats instead, which is what Owik Gall suggested would be better.

I did honestly think that at most we'd get the NPC offering hats until Regina confirmed they'd be re-running the event.

Although a rerun is nice as we will all get more gifts, its not really necessary. Just make both hats available at everyone's festival hat maker and the problem will be solved.

Thanks be to you Regina and all the coders and other members behind the scenes that got this bugged fixed in a timely method on New Year's Day.

I imagine that an issue like this could have taken hours and hours if not days to solve, especially when people planned to spend today with family...or worse, spent last night with friends and family and were going to use today to have a leisurely recovery from said celebration.

Again, thanks to everyone who got this error fixed.

I have both hats but the real problem is not the bug is the hat itself... looks dreadful.

I actually really like the appearance of both crests. The best we've had for a while imo.

Just checked back to my session in LA and despite getting the new build around 14:30 ET, I got kicked out before the 15:00 ET event. Back in now and hopefully the 18:00 ET event will give me the Dwayna hat. Glad to see Anet is going to redo this event at a future date TBA because I missed all the presents at 15:00 ET today.

Many thanks to the LT who had their New Year ruined in order to fix the bug. I wonder if Anet is going to invest more in keeping GW up and running (aka more peeps) or if they'll just blame the LT for being "incompetent."


@Regina- You might want to post a message on the login screen saying the issue has been resolved and that a solution for people who couldn't get their hats is being looked into

- For myself LA AD58: Obtained Presents & Dwanya Tiara.
- A friend in LA AD32 obtained presents & Dwanya Tiara also.
- A friend in LA AD37 obtained presents & Grenth Tiara too.

- A friend in KAM AD26 obtained presents, but no Dwanya Tiara.

thank you thank you thank you! i got my hats but my one friend is silly. he logged off thinking he could get the hat tomorrow. least this way he can still get the grenth hat. and now he can. now we can only hope you guys work on the bigger issues next. <3

This post is not another complaint because these things just happen sometimes, but I was in district AE 114 Lions Arch and neither Dwayna nor Grenth showed up. I believe it was 12:00pm PST. No hat and no gifts. I had arrived at 11:55 am so it wasn't that I missed the event. There were a lot of unhappy people there .

This is for the Anet records in case they are actually reading these posts.
